Another open letter!
It was beginning to look like Christmas!
It’s beginning to look a lot like ........ Tier 3!
Well that wasn’t quite the news that we were hoping for today, and so despite having an amazing festive menu ready for you, our Christmas decorations up, and our tree on the way (as well as mulled wine warming up nicely) opening our doors is going to have to wait for a couple more weeks.
We’re really disappointed not to be able to open yet, but we hope you’re all doing well, keeping safe and healthy and looking after each other.
It’s not a never, it’s just not yet.
The next date for us to look forward to is Thursday 10th December, when we’ll be updated as to if we can get promoted to division 2 and are keeping everything crossed for good news. If that news is positive then we’re planning to re-open on Wednesday 16th December with bells, (metaphorical) whistles and festive cheer.
This will be our very first Christmas in the pub and we’re planning on making it a great one. So I’d encourage you to book your table as soon as you can so you can join in our celebrations - it’s going to be lovely to have something to look forward to for us all!
For those of you that were hoping to join us over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be getting in touch over the next few days and hope to get you booked in before Christmas, as long as we’re allowed.
Supporting our community
Whilst we can’t open yet, we are committed to helping our community in every way we can.Lockdown for some will be really hard and so we’ll continue to cook fresh meals for COVID-19 Support Group in Kenilworth. We know a lot of you have wanted to support this - so if you do want to make a donation to help those that have been most affected by this, then pleased do drop us a line and if you need help do get in touch with the support group.
Join Kenilworth's 'Oldest Pub' Quiz
